The day starts with a pick up from the port your cruise ship has arrived at.
That can be South Queensferry, Rosyth, Newhaven or Leith.
Once we are all on board we head for the Forth Bridges and travel up the Fife Coastal road through some lovely picturesque villages to the “Home of Golf”, St Andrews.
There is the option to stop at Kingsbarns Distillery for a distillery tour and tasting of these fine local spirits (see below).
Once we will arrive in St Andrews, we will take a panoramic tour of the town showing you the main sites. for example, the Cathedral, the Castle, the golf museum, and you will be given free time to explore the town and have lunch in one of the many cafes or pubs.
At 2:45pm the minicoach will pick you up, and we will go to the Links Clubhouse, where there will be a one-hour walking tour on the Old Course for those eager to walk the hollowed fairways. This will take in a few holes, with time to take that all-important photo on the Swilcan Bridge, before you re-join the minicoach at 4pm, for the trip back your ship in time for your evening departure time
As we drive up the coastal road we pass Kingsbarns Distillery.
We can offer the group the chance to stop off, take the distillery tour, and for those old enough, taste the “Water of Life” being produced here in the “East Neuk” and using only local ingredients.
The cost of the tour is £10.00 per person, and lasts 1 hour, and has to be booked when booking the tour.
