Edinburgh – Half Day City Tour
We will collect you in our Mercedes 8 seat minicoach, at your Edinburgh accommodation at 09:00am, and drive up to the top of the Royal Mile, and start your tour outside Gladstones Land, a 17th example of a tenement block, before moving slowing (in the vehicle) down the Royal Mile passing St Giles Church, The Mercat Cross, John Knox House, the Canongait Church, and other important landmarks along the way.
After a refreshment stop (if needed), we will then pass the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood Palace, taking a drive (except Sundays) through the Queens Park, and up to a view point on Arthur’s Seat allowing us (on a clear day) to look south to the Pentland Hills, and east towards North Berwick, before returning to the Old Town, and stopping for photos at Holyrood Palace.
We will then drive from the Old Town to the New Town, and you will quickly see the difference with the wide streets, and Georgian architecture.
With stops to view the Georgian House in Charlotte Square, the childhood home of Robert Louis Stevenson, and “The Grandest Street in Edinburgh”, Moray Place.
We will then return you to your accommodation.
